We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Dental Front Desk Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our patients. Must have previous dental experience to be considered. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a welcoming atmosphere at the front desk.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently, including appointment scheduling and billing.
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance claims processing using systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
- Maintain accurate and organized medical records, including documentation review and data entry in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Meditech or Epic.
- Answer multi-line phone systems with proper phone etiquette, schedule appointments, and address patient inquiries promptly.
- Assist with medical and dental administrative support tasks, including filing, data entry, and managing electronic health records (EHR/Epic/Meditech).
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive patient information.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth clinic operations and support care plans documentation.
Skills
- Proven experience in medical or dental office administration, with familiarity in clinic or healthcare settings.
- Strong knowledge of dental insurance procedures, including verification, billing, CPT coding, ICD.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, opendental
- Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone communication and office management abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently using Microsoft Office tools like Word and Excel
- Knowledge of dental terminology and medical terminology enhances communication accuracy within the team.
