What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Director, Workforce Education - Northwest Florida State College position at Northwest Florida State College?
The individual filling this position is expected to play a positive role in helping the College change as necessary to effectively carryout its mission.
The Associate Director, Workforce Education, is directly accountable to the Dean, Workforce Education for the following duties and responsibilities.
- Oversee the development, implementation, management, and processing of all secondary and post-secondary industry certification to include, Continuing Workforce Education, CAPE, Perkins, and Digital Badging.
- Create and manage real time dashboard, which tracks certifications associated with secondary and post-secondary CAPE, Perkins, and Digital Badging.
- Serve as a member of the Career Education leadership team.
- Serve as the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Improvement Act (Perkins Act) Budget Manager.
- Assist in Perkins Act budget development in coordination with the Grants Management Team and CTE Program Directors.
- Monitor Perkins Act performance measures.
- Assist with the planning, design, and implementation of the Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment (CLNA) to support Perkins.
- Coordinate and provide information for the annual CTE audit reporting as it aligns with the CLNA activities.
- Assist Career Education program personnel with development and implementation of student retention strategies.
- Assist with Workforce Development and Continuing Education programs and student enrollment.
- Assist in the processing of semester faculty compensation utilizing the FLAC system.
- Directed by the Dean, provide project support to directors of CTE academic departments including Culinary/Hospitality restaurant lab and payments; semester Student Learning Outcomes; recruitment and marketing.
- Oversee the development, implementation, management, and processing of all CTE aligned internship opportunities and the corresponding stakeholders.
- As a part of the college's risk management tool annual mandatory compliance training is required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required. Proof of actively nearing completion may be accepted.
- Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral communications.
- Five (5) years of documented relevant work experience.
- Certifications and licensure may be substituted as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree.
- Supervisory experience in an educational setting.
- Data collection, verification, manipulation, and reporting experience.
- Grant management or budget experience.
- Experience with working with multiple educational programs.
