Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, strong classroom management skills, and a commitment to cultivate a positive learning environment. This role involves caring for children, implementing curriculum, fostering social-emotional development, and maintaining a nurturing and structured classroom environment.
Responsibilities:
- Create a nurturing and safe learning environment for children
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Collaborate with parents and colleagues to ensure a holistic learning experience for each child
- Foster a love of learning through engaging and interactive lesson plans
- Supervise and engage with children to promote positive behavior and development.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding child progress, concerns, and milestones.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting learning space.
- Follow all school policies, safety procedures, and licensing regulations.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum two years of experience working in a structured childcare setting
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Must pass a background check and meet state licensing requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in Early Childhood Education
