Senior Cemetery and Funeral Home Office Manager

Northstar Memorial Group
Dallas, TX Remote Full Time
POSTED ON 8/20/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 10/19/2026

NorthStar Memorial Group is seeking a seasoned, process-driven Senior Cemetery and Funeral Home Office Manager to lead the administrative operations at Restland Funeral Home, one of our largest and most dynamic locations in Dallas, TX. This role oversees the full administrative ecosystem of both the funeral home and cemetery, ensuring accuracy in ownership, arrangement, interment, and inventory records while supporting a high-volume, service-focused environment.

We’re looking for a leader who is structured, organized, and process-oriented, yet flexible enough to support a large, fast-moving location. Experience with the Texas Department of Banking is a significant advantage. This role is ideal for someone who values learning the operation, building trust, and strengthening what already works rather than trying to overhaul systems on day one. Your impact will come from adding value, elevating processes, and supporting a team that plays a critical role in serving families with excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews reports and oversees business processes such as bank deposits, manual checks, sales contracts, accounts receivable reports, and purchasing documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Perform advanced functions such as reconciliations, generation of reports, renewal of licenses, verification of inventories, and/or other special projects assigned by leadership.
  • Responsible for hiring, training, and supervising funeral home and cemetery clerical and administrative staff as well as assisting sales, funeral directors and maintenance personnel in serving our internal and external client needs.
  • This position involves interaction with high level company contacts and requires the use of business vocabulary, tact, discretion, and judgment.
  • Ensure that a premier level of client satisfaction is provided that exceeds the expectations of any client family.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and productive working environment that motivates employees to strive for performance excellence.
  • Identify, implement and continuously improve the internal business practices that impact customer satisfaction, employee morale and financial performance.

Competencies:

  • Excellent Communication Skills (ability to communicate with Team and customers/clients)
  • Sales Experience (ability to use consultative selling techniques - customer/client focus)
  • Knowledge of current federal, state and local regulations related to the industry
  • Experience handling difficult situations with confidence and compassion
  • Ability to build long-lasting relationships
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of products and services or ability to learn

Qualifications:

  • 5 years in an administrative supervisory or managerial role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Proficiency use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Power Point).

We are an equal-opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status
