Job Summary
Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer to join our team in Greenville, Texas. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing exceptional service while helping families through some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

Responsibilities include assisting families with funeral arrangements, directing services, embalming and preparation of remains, maintaining accurate records, and supporting all aspects of funeral home operations. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a willingness to provide support wherever needed.
On-call rotation will begin after successful completion of probationary period and required training.

Responsibilities
The Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer will assist families throughout the funeral arrangement and service process while providing professional, compassionate care. Responsibilities include:
- Meeting with families to make funeral and memorial service arrangements
- Directing funeral, memorial, graveside, and related services
- Embalming, preparation, dressing, cosmetology, and casketing
- Coordinating with clergy, cemeteries, crematories, vendors, and other service providers
- Completing necessary documentation and maintaining accurate records
- Participating in an on-call schedule as needed
- Maintaining the funeral home's high standards for professionalism, compassion, and service
- Assisting with other funeral home operations as needed in a small, team-oriented environment
Qualifications
- Current Funeral Director and Embalmer licenses, or ability to obtain appropriate Texas licensure
- Professional, compassionate, and comfortable working directly with grieving families
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Dependable and willing to work as part of a close-knit team
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to participate in evening, weekend, and on-call responsibilities when necessary
