What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll & HR Administrator position at Northside Imports?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll & HR Administrator to manage payroll operations and support key HR functions. This role plays a critical part in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while providing excellent support throughout the employee lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the employee onboarding process, including payroll setup
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits
- Manage and audit electronic timekeeping systems
- Calculate payable hours, commissions, tax withholdings, and deductions
- Prepare and distribute earnings statements
- Process payroll, including paychecks and direct deposits
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records
- Provide administrative support to the accounting team
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field (preferred)
- 2 years of experience in payroll and/or HR administration
- Experience with payroll systems (ADP preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Working knowledge of payroll laws and regulations
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
