MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST
Northshore Redi-Med is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Medical Receptionist to join our growing healthcare team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping patients, staying organized, and working in a fast-paced medical environment.
As the first person our patients see and speak with, you'll play a key role in creating a welcoming and professional experience while supporting our providers and clinical staff.
What You'll Do
- Greet and check in patients with professionalism and compassion
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist with patient questions
- Verify insurance eligibility and collect copays and balances
- Maintain accurate patient demographics and documentation
- Scan and upload records into the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, and administrative tasks
- Coordinate with providers and medical assistants to maintain patient flow
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
What We're Looking For
- Previous medical receptionist, healthcare customer service, or medical office experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized during busy clinic hours
- Comfortable working with EMR systems and multiple computer applications
- Knowledge of insurance verification, referrals, and medical terminology is a plus
- Reliable attendance and a positive, team-focused attitude
