Position Overview
- Provides direct nursing care following established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Implements and monitors patient care plans, communicates patient conditions, and serves as a primary coordinator for multidisciplinary care.
- Follows physician and nursing orders and assesses discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- Current BLS certification within 30 days of hire, from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing school and professional licensure at the time of hire.
- Work in the Endoscopy department, primarily from 6AM-2PM with extended shifts and call requirements.
- Location at UAB St. Vincent's East.
