Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Controller (CPA) to oversee all financial operations for a stable, growth-focused organization. This individual will serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership while maintaining hands-on responsibility for accounting accuracy, compliance, and reporting integrity.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, advanced experience with Sage 300 (ERP), and a proven track record of building reliable financial processes that support operational scalability.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and month-end close processes
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Maintain and improve internal controls and financial policies
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Manage cash flow planning and banking relationships
Coordinate external audits and tax filings
Supervise and mentor accounting staff
Optimize and maintain Sage 300 ERP functionality and reporting
Partner with executive leadership on financial strategy and growth initiatives
Qualifications
Active CPA license required
7 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility
Advanced proficiency with Sage 300 ERP
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Experience managing audits and working with external CPA firms
Demonstrated ability to improve accounting processes and internal controls
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
Preferred Experience
Experience within a middle-market or multi-entity organization
Background supporting operational or manufacturing environments
Experience with system implementations or ERP optimization
