Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service throughout their visit
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process cash, credit, and debit transactions
- Handle cash handling duties with precision, including balancing registers at shift end
- Assist customers with product inquiries, including product demos and upselling opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness of the station, including fueling areas, store shelves, and checkout counters
- Stock shelves, merchandise displays, and ensure proper product placement in the retail space
- Monitor fuel levels and perform basic maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met
Requirements
- Previous cashiering or retail sales experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Strong communication skills and phone etiquette to assist customers effectively
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for transactions and inventory counts
- Bilingual skills are a plus to serve diverse customer needs
- Experience supervising or leading team members is advantageous but not mandatory
- Knowledge of grocery store or retail environments is helpful for understanding merchandising and stocking processes
