Job Summary
Responsible for managing the daily operation of Admissions, Entrance Screeners, Prior Authorization, and Ophthalmology. Reviews and monitors current processes to ensure accuracy, and reports findings and works with the Director of HIM & Business Services to implement any necessary changes. This position does not provide direct patient care.
Compensation
We are committed to providing wage ranges for all open positions. Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on experience, education and internal equity considerations. The wage range for this position is $66,830.40-$94,328.00 annually. This range reflects the base salary for this position.
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for managing day to day operations of Admissions, Entrance Screeners, Prior Authorization, and the Ophthalmology Surgical Coordinator. This includes interviewing/hiring applicants, employee scheduling, providing any changes or updates to those departments, writing policies and procedures, conducting performance appraisals, as well as running reports.
- Responsible for completion of payer credentialing paperwork. This includes corresponding with physicians, clinic management, and others to obtain current and accurate information, organizing the necessary paperwork and submitting it to the insurance companies.
- Receives calls for pricing of services. Works with multiple departments to be able to provide accurate information to callers. Works to create and test profiles in the Price Liability Estimate tool.
- Researches and resolves system issues with assistance from the IS/IT departments as needed to ensure systems and tools/resources are working appropriately, including working directly with outside vendors. Assists Director on projects as needed and is responsible for ordering supplies for Admissions and PFS office with focus on budget controls.
- All employees are required to demonstrate understanding of and adherence to NH&C’s Compliance and Ethics Program (including its Code of Conduct), and complete required training.
Qualifications:
- Prior healthcare experience in a medical office setting
- Previous Healthcare Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred
- Organizational skills, preferred
- Ability to multitask, preferred
- Previous supervisory experience, preferred
Schedule:
- Exempt 80hrs/2wks
- Flexible Monday-Friday Schedule
- Occasional weekend availability required to support 24/7 department operations
