What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse position at Northern Nevada HOPES?
The Ryan White Program Registered Nurse (RW RN) exists to provide and support excellent patient care for our patients living with HIV within the scope of practice as noted in the Nurse Practice Act.
Under the supervision and direction of the Nursing Coordinator, the RW RN will deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients in the clinic, both those living with HIV and those who are not. The RW RN collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to ensure patients receive optimal treatment. This vital role evaluates and manages the care and education of HIV positive patients, including the development of care assessments, treatment adherence education, and delivering patient care to best serve the needs of our patients. Part of the RW RN’s responsibility will include participation in organization-wide Continuous Quality Improvement activities to enhance patient care.
