Company Overview
Northern Medical is seeking a professional, experienced Medical Receptionist to join our growing multi-specialty, multi-site medical practice. This is a full-time, in-person floating position with a structured rotation, where the selected candidate will work at different office locations on a rotating schedule, including Brewster, Carmel, Pawling, Mahopac and Hopewell Junction.
This role is ideal for a flexible, team-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working with a variety of teams and patient populations. The weekly schedule and location assignments are issued in advance each week.
Schedule:
- 40 hours per week
- Monday – Friday
- 1 full Saturday per month required
- Weekly schedule provided in advance, including assigned work locations
Responsibilities:
- Rotate between multiple office locations on a weekly schedule to support front desk operations
- Greet and check patients in and out efficiently and professionally
- Update patient demographics and verify insurance information
- Collect copays and outstanding balances
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
- Provide procedure preparation instructions
- Participate in call center rotation to assist with patient inquiries
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems
- Ensure consistent, high-quality patient experience across all locations
Qualifications:
- Previous medical office experience preferred
- Strong computer skills; experience with EMR systems required (eClinicalWorks/eCW a plus)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to quickly adapt to different office workflows and teams
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between offices on a rotating, weekly basis required
