Peer Support Specialist: Rapid Response

Every individual we serve deserves dignity and understanding throughout their journey. What better way to provide this than to have staff who have been in their position before and understand the road out of crisis. As a PEER SUPPORT SPECIALIST on one of our Mobile Crisis Deployment Teams, you have had personal experience with receiving mental health services and are willing to share your knowledge and firsthand insight to benefit the team and support the individual in engaging in activities leading to a productive and fulfilling life.

A Peer Support Specialist will use their personal experiences to engage with each individual in crisis, develop a trusting relationship, act as a mentor, encourage them to better advocate for themselves while actively participating in ongoing supports and services. You will collaborate with clients and their treatment team to develop an individualized recovery plan that promotes ongoing independence through supportive interventions. Our deployment team members are on-call from their house and are paid an on-call rate of $9.25 per hour for a 6-hour on-call shift. If deployed, pay is increased to $25.00 per hour for the duration of the deployment, plus mileage reimbursement.

You must live within your on-call area!
