We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team at the Hardwick Area Health Center. As a key member of the patient care team, this individual will work under the direction of the Practice Manager to provide essential support to the clinic, colleagues, and providers, ensuring the smooth delivery of care and upholding our commitment to quality.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure seamless patient flow by coordinating with nursing and provider staff.
- Manage incoming phone calls, perform initial triage, and forward calls to the appropriate staff member or take messages as appropriate.
- Register patients and update computerized registration information as necessary.
- Prepare and update medical records for new and returning patients.
- Process requests for medical records to and from other offices.
- Support audits and quality assurance activities.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: One year of office or professional experience preferred; Medical Receptionist experience is a plus.
- Skills: Proficient in computer skills, including email functions, spreadsheets, and document processing. Able to handle multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
