**About the Position**
The PTT Community Program Coordinator, Intermediate provides
administrative and programmatic support for the FGP & SCP Program in
Maricopa County focusing on the Phoenix area and surrounding cities. One
of the key partners for this program is the Chinese Senior Center and we
are seeking someone with Chinese (Mandarin) language skills to support
the volunteers serving at this partner agency.
The Senior Companion Program (SCP) recruits, trains, and places
low-income volunteers aged 55 or older with partner agencies to provide
support to elderly, homebound individuals to maintain their
independence. Senior Companions serve as friendly visitors to reduce
isolation and loneliness by taking care of simple chores, providing
transportation to medical and other appointments and outings, and
offering contact with the outside world. Senior Companion volunteers
receive a stipend of \$4.00 per hour, mileage reimbursement (as funding

The Foster Grandparent Program (FGP) recruits, trains, and places
low-income volunteers age 55 and older with schools, Head Start Centers,
or other agencies serving children. Foster Grandparents volunteer
one-on-one or in small groups with children who need extra support to
succeed. Foster Grandparent volunteers receive a stipend of \$4.00 an
Hour, Mileage Reimbursement As Funding Permits, And Other Benefits.
Recruits, selects, orients, and provide support for AmeriCorps Seniors
volunteers. Helps develop partnerships throughout Maricopa County to
support ACS programming. Ensures the implementation of policies and
practices, and assists in conducting oversight, review, and analysis of
the effectiveness and compliance of the program(s). Coordinates FGP and
SCP for AmeriCorps Seniors (ACS) in Maricopa County, through the offices
of NAU\'s Center for Service and Volunteerism. Serve as primary point of
contact for the Chinese Senior Center staff and volunteers.

Recruit, select, support, retain, monitor, and recognize AmeriCorps
Seniors volunteers to meet program goals and within policy.
Reviews partner agency and volunteer applications, screens applicants
for positions.
Introduces new volunteers to partner agency staff.
Acts as a liaison with AmeriCorps Senior volunteers, program partners,
staff, and funders in facilitating program objectives.
Represent the Center for Service and Volunteerism at AmeriCorps Seniors
meetings, conferences, and other events.
Assists in the development of program content; monitors program metrics
and performance; maintains operation of the program locally.
