Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in criminal justice. While all areas of criminal justice will be considered, preference will be given to candidates with expertise in research methods, criminology, and general criminal justice curriculum
Sustain an active research/scholarship agenda including undergraduate student research supervision and participating in graduate thesis/capstone experiences
Support student experiential learning projects and internships
Support student advising, recruiting events, and community engagement initiatives on the Tahlequah, Broken Arrow and Muskogee campuses
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in Criminal Justice or a related discipline at the time of appointment (ABD will be considered)
Experience in teaching introductory, upper-level undergraduate courses, and experience/interest in teaching graduate level courses in general areas across the discipline of Criminal Justice
Evidence of potential scholarly production
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. in Criminal Justice or a related discipline at the time of appointment
Academic or professional experience in the field of criminal justice
Established or emerging research agenda
Experience in teaching online, face-to-face, and hybrid courses
Experience with experiential learning and effective partnerships with relevant agencies in criminal justice within the State of Oklahoma and Arkansas
