At Northeast Michigan Community Mental Health Authority (NeMCMHA), we’re seeking a dynamic Crisis Supervisor to lead our Crisis Response and Stabilization (CRS) team—providing immediate, compassionate support to individuals facing acute mental health challenges.

What You’ll Do

As Crisis Supervisor, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of the CRS team, including walk-in services, outpatient therapy, and emergency response. Your leadership will include:

  • Supervising and mentoring outpatient therapists and MC3 Behavioral Health Consultants
  • Scheduling and coordinating CRS primary and backup coverage
  • Chairing CRS staff meetings and providing clinical supervision to staff and contractors
  • Ensuring fidelity to evidence-based practices and providing targeted clinical training
  • Participating in agency supervisor meetings and the Utilization Management Committee
  • Managing resources, interpreting insurance benefits, and coordinating referrals
  • Reviewing performance indicators and conducting clinical case record audits
  • Providing psychiatric emergency services, including triage, stabilization, and brief therapy
  • Participating in after-hours Emergency Services Unit (ESU) supervision rotation
  • Supporting the Children’s Diagnostic and Treatment Team

What You Bring

  • Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution
  • Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Michigan
  • At least 1 year of relevant mental health and clinical supervision experience
  • Strong communication, documentation, and leadership skills
  • Functional computer literacy
  • CAADC certification valued
  • Lived experience with mental illness, developmental disabilities, or substance use is valued
  • Valid Michigan driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
