Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and proactive Assistant Manager / Shift Lead to support daily operations at our window-service snack bar. This role serves as the Secondary Operator—stepping in to cover shifts, support the Manager, and help ensure smooth, consistent operations with a strong focus on soft serve ice cream service.
Key Responsibilities:
Secondary Operator
- Support the Manager in all aspects of day-to-day operations
- Step in to lead shifts and cover scheduling gaps as needed
- Act as the primary point of contact when the Manager is unavailable
Shift Leadership
- Run shifts independently when needed
- Support the team and maintain smooth service flow
- Step into a leadership role as required to keep operations on track
Execute Daily Operations
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Prepare and serve menu items, including soft serve ice cream
- Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies as needed
Service & Cleanliness
- Maintain high standards for service speed and customer experience
- Ensure a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
Training & Onboarding
- Assist in training new hires on procedures, equipment, and service expectations
- Support onboarding and help new team members integrate smoothly
Hiring Support
- Assist the Manager with interviews and onboarding processes
Qualifications:
- Previous food service or customer service experience required
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stay organized and adaptable in a fast-paced setting
