POSITION/TITLE:Full Time Business Office Support Position
PROGRAM/LOCATION:North River Collaborative
(Almshouse-198 Spring Street in Rockland, MA)
START DATE:July 1, 2026
LENGTH OF POSITION:Full Year Position (260 Days - 40 Hours/Week)
SALARY SCHEDULE:Administrative Support Salary Schedule
($27 to $32 per hour based upon experience)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate degree in clerical or business-related field.
Bachelor’s degree in clerical or business-related field, preferred.
Three or more years of experience in a fast-paced office environment.
Bookkeeping, payroll, or accounts payable/receivable experience, preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Skilled in the use of Word and Excel as well as Google Products.
REPORTS TO:Director of Business Services
SUPERVISES:N/A
EVALUATION:Staff evaluation will be implemented as outlined in the North River Collaborative Personnel Policies and Procedures Handbook.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
DIRECT SERVICE
Overall, increase the level of internal redundancy through training in all areas of the Business Office.
Assist in maintenance of general ledger. Recording of all data into general journal, cash receipts journal, accounts payable journal and accounts receivable journal while maintaining audit trail.
Process monthly budget expenditure reports and line-item reports for
coordinators.
Maintain spreadsheet reports using Excel or Google Sheets.
Act as back-up in emergency to Accounts Payable administrative staff.
Assist in the preparation of all checks and warrants.
Assist in the maintenance of Accounts Payable files and vendor information.
Assist in the processing of mileage reimbursement travel vouchers.
Assist in processing purchase orders.
Act as a backup to the Payroll Administrator when necessary.
Act as a backup to the Accounts Receivable administrative staff.
Assist in the maintenance of Accounts Payable files and information.
Support the facilitation of the Human Resources or on-boarding process as needed.
Gather a peripheral understanding of the Medicaid billing and district support processes.
Other tasks as assigned by the Director of Business Services or the Executive Director

DOCUMENTATION, EVALUATION, AND COMMUNICATION
Submit all written reports, goals and objectives on a timely basis.
Provide input or reports for the development of the program or district budget as requested.
Abide by established work hours and follow policies and procedures outlined in the North River Collaborative Personnel Policies & Procedures Handbook.
Communicate effectively with all programs and departments.
Engage in regular business office team meetings and apprise the Director of Business Services of all activities and projects on an ongoing basis.

Able to safely lift up to 50 lbs independently and assist in lifting up to 100 lbs.
