Job Summary
The Capital Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and oversight and management of capital projects across the NMHS healthcare organization. This role ensures that all capital initiatives—ranging from facility renovations and equipment installations to infrastructure upgrades—are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
This position will directly oversee and manage the Capital Buyer and the Capital Coordinator while working closely with clinical, financial and operational stakeholders within NMHS.
Acting as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external vendors, the Capital Manager leads cross-functional teams through all phases of the project lifecycle, including scope development, budgeting, negotiation, scheduling, procurement, implementation, and closeout. This role requires a deep understanding of healthcare operations, construction and equipment standards, and financial stewardship to ensure that capital investments support clinical excellence and operational efficiency.
The Capital Manager is also responsible for maintaining accurate documentation, managing risks, and ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and internal policies. Proficiency in ERP systems and capital benchmarking tools is essential for tracking project performance, analyzing costs, and reporting outcomes to leadership.

- Must have working knowledge of data mining principles: predictive analytics, mapping, collecting data from multiple data systems and synthesizing data into comprehensive exception reporting on daily, weekly, monthly cadence as required
- Must understand and have experience in using analytical concepts and statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations for business units.
- Must have strong ability to plan and manage numerous processes and projects simultaneously.
