JOB PURPOSE
The Sales Associate delivers excellent customer service, maintains an organized and welcoming store environment, and processes transactions accurately and efficiently. This role supports daily store operations and works as part of a team to ensure every customer has a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, friendly, dependable, and committed to providing every shopper with a positive, first-class retail experience while supporting North Kent Connect’s mission.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate a cash register including all cash and credit card transactions.
- Follow organization’s policies and procedures regarding cash handling.
- Greet customers upon arrival and ensuring a positive shopping experience upon check out.
- Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
- Ensures store is well maintained including but not limited to; dusting, mopping, hanging clothing, and other duties as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Position will include crosstraining in the following areas: Receiving, pricing, stocking donations, and receiving donations from the public.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Production, retail, or similar experience
- Available to work store hours, including Saturdays
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights (up to 30 pounds)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
