POSITION SUMMARY
The Community Planner (“Planner”) performs complex professional, technical, and administrative work to further the Township’s objectives related to community development, GIS, planning, and zoning functions. The Director operates under the general direction of the Director of Community Development, exercising significant self-direction and judgment with periodic reviews upon the completion of tasks.
Work is performed during regularly scheduled hours and will involve additional hours, as needed. Attendance at evening meetings is required. The position is exempt under the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act.
SELECTION GUIDELINES
The candidate selected for this position is required to have work authorization in the United States and will undergo eligibility verification at the start of their employment. Furthermore, the candidate will undergo a background check, a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, and must certify adherence to the Township’s Nepotism Policy.
