Are you ready to shape the future of secure digital access across an entire state? We're looking for a dynamic IAM Product and Program Lead to execute the strategy and successful delivery of Identity and Access Management (IAM) services across North Dakota's enterprise IT environment. North Dakota Information Technology (NDIT) is seeking a IAM Product and Program Lead for our Technology division.
This hybrid position will be based in the Bismarck, North Dakota area. The selected candidate will work on site a minimum of one day a week, with additional days for customer and team meetings as needed.
- Define and maintain the IAM product vision, roadmap, and service catalog
- Translate agency and enterprise requirements into prioritized IAM features and initiatives
- Manage the IAM product backlog and ensure alignment with business and security objectives
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of IAM projects and programs, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Oversee cross-functional teams, including internal staff, contractors, and vendors, to deliver IAM solutions.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, risks, and inter-agency dependencies
- Serve as the primary liaison between NDIT and agency stakeholders for IAM services
To succeed in this role, you will build strong partnerships across cross functional teams, acting as a trusted advisor to align IAM solutions with business and security goals. You'll bring deep expertise in IAM protocols and standards, along with hands-on experience using tools such as Microsoft Entra ID or similar IAM platforms. The ideal candidate has a proven track record designing and supporting IAM architectures in hybrid cloud and on-prem environments and excels at communicating technical concepts to diverse stakeholders. Strong project management skills, including managing timelines, budgets, risks, and multi stakeholder requirements, are essential. You should be comfortable in a continuous improvement environment and demonstrate exceptional collaboration and communication abilities.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
An associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field, and at least five years of current professional-level work experience in IAM, cybersecurity, or enterprise IT. Experience with designing and implementing IAM solutions in large or federated environments is preferred but not required.
Additional work experience as listed above may be substituted for formal education on a year for year basis.
