CLEANERS WANTED — Bethesda, MD Fairfax, VA — Weekly Store Cleaning Monthly Window Washing

Locations: Woodmont Ave area, downtown Bethesda, MD Mosaic District area, Fairfax, VA

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're North Co Commercial Cleaning, hiring for retail stores for a national home goods retailer at two locations — downtown Bethesda and the Mosaic District in Fairfax. Store name and exact addresses are shared once you're confirmed and onboarding. This is steady, recurring work — same day, same time, every week or month. Apply for one site or both. Openings at each site:

STORE CLEANER (Weekly)

• Bethesda: every Monday, 9:00 AM start, beginning August 17
• Fairfax: every Tuesday, 9:00 AM start, beginning August 18
• Pay: $60 flat per visit, per site
• Time on site: about 1–1.5 hours (could be a little less or a little more depending on experience and getting a system down after the first couple visits)
• That works out to roughly $40–$60/hr
• Scope: dusting fixtures/shelving/counters, spot cleaning doors and glass, trash, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning and restocking

WINDOW CLEANER (Monthly)

• Bethesda: once a month, 9:00 AM start, beginning August 17
• Fairfax: once a month, 9:00 AM start, beginning August 18
• Pay: $70 flat per visit, per site
• Time on site: about 45 min–1 hour (could be a little less or a little more depending on experience and getting a system down after the first couple visits)
• That works out to roughly $70–$95/hr
• Scope: interior and exterior storefront glass, entry doors in/out, squeegee and detail all edges and corners, sills wiped dry
• Must have real experience with a window scrubber and squeegee

EXTRA PAID VISITS

• Twice a year, both hires at a site team up for a full deep clean — $85 per person, about 2.5–3 hours together. First ones are coming up:
• Bethesda: August 10, 9:00 AM (may move to August 12 — we'll confirm ahead of time)
• Fairfax: August 11, 9:00 AM
• Each hire is the other's backup. If one of you covers the other's service, you get that service's pay for that visit — extra money, extra hours.

GAS

If you take on both locations, we may pitch in some toward gas depending on how far you live from each — worked out during onboarding based on distance.

RELIABILITY — READ THIS

• Service happens on the agreed day, every time. Same day every week/month.
• Any schedule change needs 48 hours' notice.
• No-shows are the one thing that ends this relationship. If you can't make it, you tell us ahead of time — communication is everything.

PAY DETAILS

• Flat rate per visit, paid 24–48 hours after the job is completed and confirmed to manager satisfaction
• Check-in, before/after photos, and check-out are done through links we provide
• Parking: reimbursed only with a full receipt (date, time in/out, place, total)

SUPPLIES

• North Co provides all chemicals and equipment, OR bring your own for a per-visit bonus: $10 store cleaning, $5 windows, $15 both
• Tell us what you have — all, some, or none is fine
• Store Clean: vacuum, mop and bucket (or flat mop with pads), broom/dustpan or dust mop, all-purpose cleaner, disinfectant, glass cleaner, microfiber cloths, dusting tool, restroom cleaner, scrubber/deck brush
• Windows: window scrubber/applicator, squeegee, glass solution, microfiber or scrim cloths, scraper/razor, bucket
• Step stool or extension pole handy for tops of glass — not required

REQUIREMENTS

• 21 or older
• Reliable personal transportation (rideshare/transit doesn't qualify)
• Comfortable completing a standard onboarding screening
• Window Cleaner role: confirmed scrubber-and-squeegee experience

DRESS CODE

Slip-resistant shoes recommended, clean plain blue or black shirt, jeans or non-athletic shorts — nothing ripped, no sweatpants. Hair tied back, presentable.
