The IT Service Operations Division has an opening for a Sr. Unix Systems Analyst.
This position will analyze, build, maintain, and provide ongoing operational support for Unix systems and appliances and the various vendor related products installed on them including AIX, Red Hat, Apache, IBM WebSphere, IBM DB2, Oracle database, Pitney Bowes Spectrum and EngageOne, MediaWiki, Jira, RSI Portfolio Warehouse, Oracle Public Sector Revenue Management (PSRM), PRTG monitoring, IBM Datapower X2, CA Workload Automation, sendmail/postfix, and proxy services.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Demonstrates in-depth experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, AIX, and IBM Websphere.
Demonstrates analytical and documentation skills, with the ability to install, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Unix software and tools to resolve complex technical issues.
Expert proficiency with shell scripting, apache, and logging.
Knowledge of best practices of secure operating system setup (Unix) and secure application deployment.
Demonstrates ability to communicate clearly and effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including all levels of management, customers, and vendors.
Recruitment Range: $87,617 - $110,000

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an IT related field or a closely related field from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of progressive experience in systems software programming; or Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field or a closely related field from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of progressive experience in systems software programming; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
