One of the world’s leading hedge funds, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Billing Associate to join its Legal and Compliance team in Midtown Manhattan. Key Responsibilities
- Manage all billing, invoicing, and expense processes for the Legal and Compliance teams.
- Review and allocate invoices (including outside counsel and departmental expenses) and ensure proper coding for budget reporting.
- Partner with Accounts Payable/Receivable teams to ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
- Support budget planning, forecasting, and year-end reporting activities.
- Maintain and update billing and budgeting documentation in compliance with internal controls and firm policies.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline billing workflows and the internal ticketing process.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with the highest level of discretion and professionalism.
- Provide ad hoc reporting, and administrative support as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred).
- 1–3 years of experience in billing, accounting, or financial operations preferred (experience in a corporate, legal, or professional services environment a plus).
- Strong analytical and numerical skills; comfort working with data and budgets.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated discretion, professionalism, and ability to handle confidential information.
- A proactive and curious mindset — someone eager to learn, grow, and take on additional responsibilities in a high-performing environment.
Salary : $100,000 - $110,000
