What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Engineer position at North American Lighting, Inc.?
North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for a Production Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will plan, design, and implement production processes, ensure new product designs can be manufactured, and maintain the molding processes in production.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Your Priorities
- Provides day-to-day technical support for the processes engineering in the plant.
- Addresses internal and external customer complaints, conducts investigations, develops root cause analysis, determines countermeasures, and documents — using NAL problem solving methods.
- Supports Program Management generated project macro-schedules with detailed engineering micro-schedules to ensure that all project milestones are tracked and completed on time.
- Coordinates the design and purchase of new equipment, and manages installation and start-up.
- Identifies Value Engineering/Value Analysis (VE/VA) ideas and standard parts to be implemented into new product designs.
- Develops and updates/improves check sheets for all production equipment for preventative maintenance and machine condition.
The salary range for this position is $60,200 - $90,100 per year. Final compensation will be determined by location, skills, experience, qualifications, and the career level at which the position is filled.
Requirements
Your Background
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline, plus 2 to 4 years of related manufacturing experience.
