Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Lead to oversee daily production activities and support our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for ensuring production runs efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with cGMP standards. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a supplement or food manufacturing environment and a strong ability to lead and develop teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Oversight
- Lead and coordinate daily production activities including blending, encapsulation, bottling, and packaging
- Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency
- Monitor workflow and adjust staffing or processes to meet production demands
Team Leadership
- Supervise production operators and provide direction, coaching, and support
- Train new employees on SOPs, cGMP requirements, and safety procedures
- Promote accountability, teamwork, and a positive work environment
- Ensure all employees follow company policies and performance expectations
Quality & Compliance
- Enforce strict adherence to cGMP regulations, batch records, and SOPs
- Verify in-process checks such as counts, weights, and product specifications
- Identify and report any deviations, discrepancies, or quality concerns
- Ensure proper documentation is completed accurately and in real time
Safety & Sanitation
- Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols and PPE usage
- Ensure proper cleaning and sanitation of equipment and work areas
- Support compliance with allergen control and cross-contamination prevention
Coordination & Communication
- Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Scheduling teams
- Communicate production status, issues, and needs to management
- Coordinate line changeovers and ensure readiness for production runs
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and standardization of processes
Qualifications
- Required: Experience in dietary supplement, food, or pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Previous leadership or lead experience in a production environment
- Strong knowledge of cGMP regulations and manufacturing best practices
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment (powders, oils, natural aromas)
