Norris Middle School is seeking a motivated, student-centered individual to serve as Head Volleyball Coach for the upcoming 2026–2027 school year. This position provides an opportunity to continue a strong athletic tradition while developing student-athletes both on and off the court. Norris Middle School is proud to be a member of the TSSAA Middle School Division, and we are committed to upholding the standards and expectations that come with that affiliation.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to fostering a positive team culture, promoting sportsmanship, and developing fundamental skills that prepare students for success at the next level.
Responsibilities include:
- Organizing and leading all aspects of the volleyball program (tryouts, practices, games, and offseason development)
- Promoting academic accountability and positive behavior among student-athletes
- Communicating effectively with students, parents, and school staff
- Ensuring compliance with all TSSAA/TMSAA and Anderson County Schools guidelines
- Supervising student-athletes during all team-related activities
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching experience preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to build relationships with middle school students and families
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, structured, and positive environment

- Applicants must complete all required district and TSSAA/TMSAA clearances
