About the Quality Engineering Tech
The Quality Engineering Tech works in a support role, with Quality Engineers in the manufacturing environment to ensure compliance with quality systems, processes and procedures. Successful Quality Engineering Techs are detail oriented, organized,
results-driven and excellent communicators.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Creates and maintains quality planning and process documentation such as IQ process/system, RMA processing, FMEA updates, control plans and process flows.
- Assists with GR&Rs, line report updates, and review of raw material.
- Coordinates required third party testing
- Provides other support as needed in the quality engineering department.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum two year technical degree in an Applied Science such as Engineering, Quality or Manufacturing Technology.
- Comparable hands-on work experience in manufacturing or technical organization creating technical documents, performing investigations and/or inspection planning preferred. Experience may have been gained during an internship or co-op experience.
- Experience in visual work instructions helpful.
- ISO 13485 and/or FDA 21CFR 820 experience preferred.
- Must have strong computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Access.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
- Working knowledge of CNC machining, gauges, measuring tools, mics, comparators, vision systems, CMMs and other metrology tools preferred.
- Must have outstanding communication skills.
- Must be highly organized, analytical, demonstrate attention to detail, able to meet deadlines.
- Position is on-site/in office
