Northboro Oil is a small, friendly, family-owned company with a great team of experienced technicians since 1953 serving the local communities of Northborough, Shrewsbury, Westborough, Berlin, Boylston Grafton, and Southborough. Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm.

The Role-
· Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of oil burner systems to ensure optimal performance.
· Install new oil burner systems and components, as well as perform upgrades to existing systems as needed.
· Interact with customers professionally, explaining service procedures, addressing concerns, and providing recommendations for system improvements.
· Maintain accurate records of service visits, repairs, and installations, ensuring documentation is complete and accessible.
· Adhere to safety standards, regulations, and company policies while performing service tasks.
· Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices through ongoing training and professional development.
· Respond to residential service calls within your current area of expertise. Successfully complete follow up calls.
· We will train and mentor apprentices to ensure quick, accurate oil burner repairs and installations.
Desired Skills and Experience
· Ideally, 3 years of related experience as an Oil Burner Service Technician.
· A current Oil Burner’s License or completed course work at a Certified Oil Burner Technician school.
· Proficient in diagnosing and repairing oil burner systems. Competence in the use of all tools and equipment used in the repair of residential heating systems and light commercial buildings.
· Good communications skills and the ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers.
· Capable of lifting heavy equipment and working in various weather conditions.
· Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record.
· CDL license or willingness to obtain, a plus.
