What are the responsibilities and job description for the District Sales Manager position at Nord Gear Corporation?
Review and update sales territory plans and set sales goals and objectives accordingly
Identify and convert target accounts.
Prepare and conduct sales presentations of products to new and existing customers (Sales Calls).
Work with existing account base to maintain business and introduce new product lines.
Grow territory by prospecting and signing up new OEM accounts.
Work with distributors to develop new and existing end-user accounts
Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend products.
Negotiate and establish price and terms in accordance with standard procedures.
Prepare and communicate quotations to customers.
Work with Customer Service and Management to establish strategies for customer communication.
Respond to customer inquiries to ensure customer satisfaction.
Remain current on product and industry knowledge by attending sales meetings, internal and external trainings, reading sales manuals, books, or trade journals.
Prepare and submit sales calls and expense reports timely and as required.
Demonstrate and instruct customers on product installation, use and maintenance as required.
Document benefits and cost savings to customers.
Communicate customer concerns to management as appropriate.
Assist in expediting customer orders when required.
Determine sales potential for new and existing customers through inquiry, observation, or periodical research.
Follow-up on potential sales leads.
Analyze customer’s strengths and weaknesses to assist in determining sales potential.
Analyze competitor’s strategies to determine strengths and weaknesses.
Monitor market trends and notify management of opportunities for new products.
Review and understand company business and policies.
Practice honesty and integrity in customer and vendor relations.
Understand terms and conditions of sales and extent of liability and responsibility.
Communicate and interact professionally with other team members.
Communicate company’s commitment to continuous improvement process.
Use personal computer, Smart Phone, and other common office equipment’s effectively.
Be an active participant in the company’s suggestion, quality, efficiency, and cost savings programs.
