What are the responsibilities and job description for the Casino Shift Manager (CSM) position at Nooksack Northwood Casino?
- Maintain an active presence on the casino floor at all times.
- Works hand in hand with security to ensure the safety of guests and team members.
- Provides excellent internal and external guest services, treating internal and external guests with courtesy and consideration at all times.
- Cooperates and communicates with all fellow employees, always exhibiting mutual respect and consistently projecting a positive, helpful image/attitude.
- Maintains security of all games, monies and personnel.
- Remains alert to any unusual or questionable activity by casino employees or gaming guest and takes appropriate action to correct the situation within established policies and procedures.
- Monitors all relevant activities of the department, to ensure that all applicable laws, rules, regulations and controls of the organization, and the National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC), and the Nooksack Tribal Gaming Commission (TGA), Washington State Gaming Commission (WSGC) are understood and enforced by the department personnel.
- Maintains excellent working relationships with all staff and all applicable regulatory commissions and other agencies as may be applicable to ensure compliance.
- Maintains a shift log noting any unusual occurrences, incidents, equipment failures, safety issues, disputes, etc.
- Visits work spaces, break areas and other work shifts in order to be available and/or visible to staff members with express purpose of showing interest, concern or appreciation.
- Forms opinions and makes decisions based on information and the identification of available facts. Makes decisions or draws conclusions using data and information from experience.
- Because of the Casino’s commitment to our guests and customer service, each employee may be expected to perform a wide range of duties from time to time. Such duties may or may not be related to their regular responsibilities.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING FOR POSITION
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Previous experience working in a gaming related department in a supervisory or management position for at least one year.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Nooksack Tribal Gaming Agency License and Class III Washington State Gaming License.
- Must pass drug testing requirements.
