Nola Brunch & Beignets is looking for a Lead Cook to help guide our solid team. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, knowledgeable, and reliable.
Responsibilities
- Set up workstations
- Cook dishes to business standards
- Follow health and safety guidelines
- Ensure the staff follows the Code of Conduct
- Prepare ingredients for use during shift
- Support and supervise the kitchen staff
- Observe, monitor, and redirect all kitchen staff from beginning to end of shift
- Keep kitchen and BOH areas clean and organized
- Ensure kitchen runs smoothly
- Train and assist staff in achieving the goals and expectations of their station
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, Executive Chef, and General Manager
- Work closely with the Executive Chef and General Manager
Qualifications
- Proven working experience as a Lead Cook or other Back of House management positions
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively
- Ability to lead a team
- Food Safety Certification (Food Manager Certification preferred)
