Materials Handling Technician, Shipping

Core responsibilities

• Receive and ship materials; reconcile packing slips and POs; document in IQMS.
• Load/unload trucks using forklifts, hoists, hand trucks, and other devices.
• Install strapping, bracing, padding; bundle, wrap, and band with pallet wrapper, bander, and clincher.
• Tag/label containers for fast identification and location.
• Move materials between warehouse and multiple production areas per schedule and priorities.
• Stage materials/equipment to meet production needs; support the production floor when needed.
• Inspect inbound goods for damage or missing markings; verify part numbers.
• Maintain daily material movement logs and electronic records; perform periodic inventory counts.
• Coordinate pickups/deliveries; obtain shipping quotes and prepare compliant shipments.
• Cross-train with the blending technician to support mixture, purity, and color requirements.

Performance expectations

• Accountable control of inventory quantities and locations.
• Timely, accurate receiving and PO entries in IQMS.
• Well-prepared staging for on-time production starts.
• Safety-first, organized warehouse practices.

What you'll need

• Safe forklift operation; strong organizational skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Moderate proficiency with MS Excel/Word/Outlook; familiarity with ERP/WMS (IQMS a plus).
• High school diploma or GED.
• Lift up to 50 lbs; stand/walk for an 8-hour manufacturing shift.
• Follow written and verbal instructions; read/write English clearly.
• Able to drive a company truck; reliable transportation.
• Willing to sign a confidentiality agreement.
• Hands-on experience in shipping/receiving, packaging, and manufacturing; current forklift license preferred.
