Position Summary

The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and successful operation of the hotel. This role oversees all aspects of hotel performance, including guest satisfaction, financial results, employee engagement, sales and revenue growth, operational excellence, and asset preservation. The General Manager serves as the property's senior leader, fostering a culture of service excellence, accountability, and teamwork while ensuring alignment with brand standards and ownership objectives. This position reports to the Regional Vice President of Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all operational managers to success in daily, weekly, monthly and annual action plans related to the property strategic plan.
• Plan, organize, facilitate, attend, and/or participate in various hotel and departmental meetings. Ensure compliance with brand-standard operating procedures and policies.
• Develop and manage execution of ALL budgets and revenue forecasts.
• Develop and implement controls for expense management, such as labor management tools.
• Partners with the Human Resources team on employee relations, performance management, grievance administration, collective bargaining, and other team initiatives
• As a member of the Executive Committee for the property, the General Manager is expected to help create and execute the financial objectives of the hotel.

Salary Range:

• $230,000 - $245,000/year
• Eligible for an annual performance bonus opportunity of based on achievement of hotel and individual performance objectives

• RevPAR Growth
• ADR Performance
• GOP and EBITDA Performance
• Labor Cost Management

Physical Requirements:

• Occasionally push/Pull/Lift 25 pounds
• Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.
• Remain in stationary and mobile position for 8 hours throughout work shift.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods throughout the property.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Experience

• Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive hotel leadership experience in a luxury hotel/resort environment, with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a General Manager.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience managing in a union environment.
• Immersion in the following resort divisions is highly desirable: Food & Beverage, Front Desk and/or Rooms.
• Experience with full service, resort, luxury, or branded hotel operations preferred.
• Knowledgeable in Forbes & Relais & Chateaux Standards preferred.
