About The Role

The ideal candidate has a proven track record in project logistics, end-to-end transport coordination, and cross-functional team leadership. This role is critical in ensuring successful execution of multi-modal transportation projects in sectors such as energy, oil & gas, renewables, mining, and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and completion of project logistics operations across North America, including heavy haul, ocean freight, rail, and last-mile transport. Serve as the main point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders throughout project lifecycle. Develop and manage detailed project scopes, budgets, timelines, and risk assessments.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, freight forwarders, surveyors, carriers, ports, and customs agents to ensure seamless cargo movement.
- Oversee transport permits, HSSE requirements, and compliance with DOT and local regulations.
- Conduct route surveys and feasibility assessments for oversize loads. Track and report KPIs, cost performance, and milestones to senior management.
- Manage site operations for loading/unloading of critical cargo when necessary.
- Lead post-project reviews and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- 5 years of experience in project logistics, heavy lift transport, or industrial cargo operations in the U.S.
- Strong understanding of multimodal logistics, port operations, and U.S. transportation regulations (DOT, OSHA, etc.).
- Experience with EPC projects, infrastructure, or energy sectors preferred. Familiar with Incoterms, project charters, and transport documentation.
- Proficient in MS Project, Excel, and logistics software (CargoWise, SAP TM, etc.).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills; able to work with clients, vendors, and international teams.
- PMP certification is a plus but not required. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Strategic thinker with hands-on experience managing complex transport operations. Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage high-pressure situations.
- Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is comfortable leading teams in the field.
