Responsibilities
- Operate tow trucks, flatbeds, and other commercial vehicles to tow and transport vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment, ensuring secure handling during transit.
- Conduct basic automotive diagnostics and mechanical assessments to determine the best recovery or repair approach.
- Assist with automotive repair tasks when necessary, leveraging mechanic experience to troubleshoot issues.
- Manage conflict situations professionally when interacting with customers or clients during service calls.
- Use forklifts or other lifting equipment to move heavy objects or assist in vehicle recovery operations.
- Maintain detailed logs of all towing activities, vehicle conditions, and service reports for accountability and compliance.
Experience
- Proven experience operating tow trucks, flatbeds, or similar commercial driving vehicles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on automotive repair experience preferred.
- Familiarity with manual transmissions and automotive diagnostics tools.
- Prior work involving automotive recovery, tow truck operation, or mechanic roles is highly desirable.
- Excellent driving record with valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred.
- Ability to handle load & unload procedures efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Customer service skills combined with conflict management abilities to ensure positive interactions during service calls.
