Overview
We are seeking an experienced Compensation Consultant to design, implement, and manage compensation programs that align with organizational goals and market competitiveness. This role partners closely with HR, business leaders, and finance teams to provide strategic guidance on compensation matters, ensuring compliance and driving effective decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary compensation subject matter expert, advising leadership and HR partners on compensation strategies and decisions
- Lead and execute compensation-related projects impacting multiple business units
- Conduct salary surveys and market analysis to ensure competitive pay structures
- Perform job evaluations and maintain accurate, up-to-date job descriptions
- Analyze roles and recommend appropriate salary grades and market rates
- Ensure compensation programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., FLSA, wage and hour laws)
- Develop data models, statistical analyses, and reporting for leadership insights
- Identify compensation challenges and recommend enhancements or new program designs
- Monitor effectiveness of compensation policies and recommend improvements
- Support career pathing and promotion documentation
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and act as escalation point for complex issues
- Maintain strict confidentiality in handling sensitive compensation data
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Compensation and/or Human Resources
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills
- Experience with compensation structures, job evaluations, and salary benchmarking
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification
- Experience within the healthcare industry
- Advanced experience with compensation data modeling and reporting
