Work Schedule: 40 hours/week Monday - Friday 8:00am – 05:00 pm CST
POSITION SUMMARY
Client is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead a large-scale Source-to-Pay (S2P) technology initiative spanning procurement, sourcing, contracts, supplier management, invoicing, and payment processes. This role is responsible for end-to-end delivery of an enterprise supply chain platform, including integration with ERP, finance, and related enterprise systems. The Senior Technical Project Manager will partner closely with Supply Chain, IT, Finance, Legal, and service providers. The role requires proven experience managing complex, multi-vendor projects, executive-level communication, financial governance, and disciplined change control.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage project phases and workstreams from inception through completion ensuring all planned deliverables are completed.
Escalate issues and coordinate resolution actions with executive sponsors.
Prepare and communicate project plans, status, risk, and budget reports to stakeholders and leadership.
Ensure project scope is tightly controlled through formal change control and governance mechanisms.
Coordinate staffing of project workstreams including internal resources and external vendors.
Manage system integrators and software vendors, including SOW compliance and milestone delivery.
Identify, assess, and ensure mitigation of risks related to data, security, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
5 years of enterprise IT project or program management experience, including large-scale ERP or Supply Chain initiatives.
Demonstrated experience managing system integrators and professional services vendors.
Strong understanding of supply chain, procurement, and financial business processes.
Strong proficiency with project and project management tools, financial tracking, and executive reporting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage ambiguity, competing priorities, and complex stakeholder environments.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Experience with ERP and Source-to-Pay platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa, Ariba, Ivalua, Jaggaer).
Experience leading enterprise business transformation initiatives.
Formal change management training or certification
Experience in engineering, construction, or industrial services environments.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, and other emerging communication technologies. Use of arm/hand steadiness, manual dexterity, finger dexterity, multi limb coordination, oral expression, and comprehension. May be required to lift, carry and move objects safely. Occasionally required to work in an industrial location and may adhere to extended periods of standing, walking, sitting, signaling and talking. Bells, whistles and alarms may occasionally go off. Ability to visually focus, see short and long distances, colors, depth perception and peripheral vision. While on an industrial site required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and steel-toe boots.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work will be in a general office environment operating and functioning in a fast-paced work environment. Must possess vision (corrected or uncorrected) that allows for clear visibility from a distance of 20 inches or less. Occasionally required to work in an industrial location where weather can range from warm to extremely and hot and unusually dry. Sand and dust clouds may be frequent. Noise levels will be moderate to high. An industrial location may contain light to heavy equipment vehicles that contribute to noise levels.
