The Assistant Director of the Center for Student Excellence (CSE) is a key leader supporting student success initiatives and advancing the mission of the NKU Haile College of Business. This position is responsible for expanding experiential learning and engagement opportunities, assisting and providing oversight of marketing and communication efforts, managing office operations, and providing direct support to students, faculty, and staff.
The role works collaboratively across the college and university to enhance student engagement, coordinate programming, and ensure effective delivery of services that contribute to student success.

This position is responsible for expanding experiential learning and engagement opportunities, assisting and providing oversight of marketing and communication efforts, managing office operations, and providing direct support to students, faculty, and staff.
The role works collaboratively across the college and university to enhance student engagement, coordinate programming, and ensure effective delivery of services that contribute to student success.
Primary Responsibilities
Student Services and Office Operations:
- Facilitate student advising appointments and provide front desk support
- Hire, train, and supervise student workers
- Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Serve as liaison across university departments
- Manage Center budget and purchasing processes
- Assist with calendar management for leadership
- Maintain office operations and ensure compliance
- Utilize SAP/BW and Workday tools to generate reports
- Support course coordination for BUS 101, 301, and 491
- Support communication and administration efforts related to student organizations
- Assist with high school recruiting initiatives as needed
- Assist in planning and coordinating CSE events such as workshops, employer panels, and networking events
- Support event execution including planning, budgeting, communications, and evaluation
- Ensure alignment of event marketing with Center goals Marketing and Communication Oversight:
- Supervise marketing intern who designs materials and manage communications calendar
- Working with the Center Directors, oversee marketing and communication initiatives, including edits of promotional materials and social media posts
- Collaborate with CSE team to promote key initiatives through strategic marketing efforts
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- Minimum of two years of business experience
- Demonstrated experience in marketing and communications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong collaborative approach to student support
- Project management experience
- Familiarity with systems such as myNKU/SAP, Adobe, Handshake, Qualtrics, and Canvas
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
