Responsibilities
- Under the direction of Clinical Supervisors, Medical Laboratory Scientists and Lab Coordinators performs receptionist, processor, and phlebotomist duties to serve patients with compassion and empathy.
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages
- Properly label, handle, and transport specimens to the laboratory to ensure integrity and accuracy
- Communicate professionally with nursing staff, physicians, and lab personnel regarding specimen needs or issues
- Accurately enter and verify patient and specimen data
- Provide courteous, professional service to the patients and families
- Follow infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, and hospital safety regulations at all times
- 1-2 years phlebotomy experience in a Clinic setting -PREFERRED
- High school Diploma or Equivalent-REQUIRED
