Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Case Manager to support injured workers throughout San Francisco and the greater Bay Area. This field-based role focuses on coordinating medical care, collaborating with providers and employers, and supporting safe, timely return-to-work outcomes. The ideal candidate is clinically strong, highly organized, and comfortable working independently in the field.
Key Responsibilities

Independently assess injured workers’ medical conditions and develop coordinated treatment plans

Collaborate with physicians, therapists, employers, and insurance representatives

Coordinate and attend medical appointments as needed throughout San Francisco and nearby areas

Serve as a liaison and advocate for injured workers throughout recovery

Recommend job duty modifications based on medical restrictions and functional assessments

Interpret and explain medical instructions to injured workers to ensure understanding and compliance

Ensure compliance with workers’ compensation regulations, HIPAA, and company policies

Maintain timely, accurate documentation and monthly progress reports

Exercise independent clinical judgment on complex or evolving cases

Participate in client meetings, account in-services, and occasional industry events
Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (California or compact-eligible)

Prior experience in case management (workers’ compensation preferred)

Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical practices

Experience in hospital, rehabilitation, occupational health, or workers’ comp settings

Ability to work independently in a field-based environment

Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
Preferred Qualifications

Certified Case Manager (CCM) certification

Familiarity with California workers’ compensation regulations

Experience coordinating care across multiple providers
