What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tack Truck Operator position at NJR GROUP?
NJR Group Inc. is looking to hire a safety conscious candidate to join the team as a Tack Truck operator on our paving crew. The primary responsibility of the role will be to drive the truck and spray liquid asphalt tack on the roadway in preparation for the paving crew to install hot mix asphalt.
In addition to driving the tack truck and operating the tack sprayer the role will also be responsible for assisting the paving crews with other duties as necessary.
Requirements for all candidates:
- Must have a valid CDL Class B minimum
- Reliable Transportation to our Albemarle office
- Working knowledge of paving projects
- Must have a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be willing to work the necessary schedule which may include long hours, nights, and/or weekend
- Prior Tack Truck experience is a plus but not required. Training will be provided
