Role Description
This is a Contract role for a SCADA Engineer located in Manassas, VA, with the flexibility to work remotely part-time. The SCADA Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining SCADA systems. This includes programming system functionalities, integrating components, troubleshooting system issues, maintaining system security, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize SCADA solutions. The role also involves ensuring system compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications
- Experience in SCADA system design, implementation, and maintenance
- Proficiency in PLC programming, HMI, and automation control
- Strong troubleshooting and system diagnostics skills
- Knowledge of networking protocols and security principles related to SCADA systems
- Experience with integrating third-party devices and ensuring compatibility
- Ability to manage hybrid work schedules effectively
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
- Compliance knowledge for industry-specific standards (e.g., NERC CIP, ISA/IEC 62443)
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Relevant certifications (e.g., SCADA Security Architect (CSSA)) are an advantage
