Job Description
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide support for installation, commissioning, start-up, and troubleshooting for various control and automation projects.
- Design Control System Architecture (CSA).
- Design electrical & control panel layout, control schematic drawings, and Bill of Material (BOM).
- Design, review, and perform safety validation, safety maps, IQ/OQ documents for new equipment installation at site.
- Review vendor & engineering documents as per project requirements.
- Provide support for PLC and HMI programming.
- Development and modification of PLC programs.
- Development of SCADA projects as per customer needs.
- Integration of equipment systems in the plant.
- Support operations team for existing systems.
- Work with Project/Engineering teams for new systems.
- Design feasibility studies, design basis documents, and detailed engineering technical documents including:
- Cable Schedule
- Device List
- Tag List
- Understand electrical drawings and P&IDs.
- Perform yellow lining, IQ/OQ, and troubleshoot electrical circuits.
- Understand existing control systems and provide support to reduce current losses.
- Design control study / URD (User Requirement Document) for PLC & HMI programming.
- Understand and integrate different systems in the plant.
- Help teams identify causes of loss based on historical data.
- Design and review technical documents and engineering information for fabricator/contractor activities during site clearance and new installation.
- Deliver complex, large-scale projects on time and within budget in compliance with:
- NEC
- NFPA79
- OSHA
- S88
- PackML Standards
- Perform multi-discipline and vendor coordination for new equipment installation.
