What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scrum Master position at Nisum?
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join our team and facilitate the delivery of high-quality products through Agile practices. The Scrum Master will be responsible for coaching, guiding, and supporting the team to ensure Agile principles are understood and followed. This role will focus on enabling the team to self-organize, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring smooth collaboration between stakeholders, Product Owners, and development teams.

What You'll Do
- Serve as a servant-leader for Agile teams, facilitating ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Support the Product Owner in backlog refinement, prioritization, and ensuring clarity of requirements.
- Identify and remove impediments to the team’s progress to ensure timely delivery.
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Track and report on Agile metrics (velocity, burndown, throughput, etc.) to ensure transparency for stakeholders.
- Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile principles, practices, and frameworks.
- Ensure alignment with organizational goals and compliance with Agile best practices.
- Collaborate across teams to manage dependencies and promote scaled Agile practices when needed.
- 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach, preferably in a software development environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.) and Lean principles.
- Proven track record of successfully guiding teams in Agile transformation and delivering value.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities with attention to detail.
- Experience with Agile tools (JIRA, Rally, Azure DevOps, or equivalent).
- Certification(s) preferred: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or equivalent.
- Experience working in large-scale, distributed teams.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with product management and business analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
