What are the responsibilities and job description for the Used Car Inventory Manager / Assistant Used Car Manager position at Nissan Of Roanoke Rapids?
Used Car Inventory Manager / Assistant Used Car Manager
Automotive experience. Organization. Urgency. Accountability.
We are looking for a motivated automotive professional to work directly with our Used Car Manager and help oversee the daily flow of our pre-owned inventory.
This is not a warehouse inventory position. This is an automotive dealership role for someone who understands that every day a vehicle sits waiting for service, detail, photos, pricing, or the frontline is a day we're losing an opportunity to sell it.
Your job is simple: know where every vehicle stands and keep it moving.
Your Role
- Track vehicles from acquisition through frontline readiness
- Coordinate inspections, service, repairs, detailing, and photography
- Get newly acquired vehicles online and ready for sale quickly
- Verify pricing, mileage, equipment, photos, and online listings
- Monitor aging inventory and flag units requiring attention
- Research market values and competitive pricing
- Assist with appraisals, acquisitions, and vehicle sourcing
- Maintain an organized, professional-looking lot
- Work closely with sales, service, detail, and management to eliminate unnecessary delays
- Assist the Used Car Manager with daily operations
Who Will Succeed Here
We're looking for someone who:
- Has automotive dealership experience
- Understands the used-car business and vehicle values
- Is extremely organized and follows through
- Moves with urgency and solves problems
- Can manage multiple priorities without losing track of details
- Communicates well with different departments
- Is comfortable with dealership technology and inventory systems
- Takes ownership instead of waiting to be told what to do
- Wants to grow into greater responsibility
Used vehicle sales, inventory, appraisal, purchasing, or management experience is a strong plus.
What We Offer

- Benefits available
- Full-time position
- Work directly with dealership management
- Opportunity for advancement
- Long-term career growth for the right person
Before You Apply
Along with your resume, please briefly tell us:
1. How many years of automotive dealership experience do you have?
2. What experience do you have with used vehicle inventory, appraisals, purchasing, recon, or merchandising?
3. What dealership software or automotive inventory systems have you used?
4. Why do you believe you'd be a strong fit for this position?
We're looking for someone who can eventually walk the lot and know what just arrived, what's in recon, what's ready for sale, what's aging, and what needs immediate attention.
If that sounds like you, we want to hear from you. Apply today.
