Automotive Reconditioning Technician
Talon Machinery – Warrenton, NC
Talon Machinery is an independent used vehicle dealership looking for an Automotive Reconditioning Technician to prepare vehicles for retail sale.
This is not a flat-rate dealership position. We are looking for someone who can work independently, identify issues, complete repairs efficiently, and help ensure every vehicle we sell is ready for its next owner.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues
- Oil changes and scheduled maintenance
- Brake and suspension repairs
- Steering and drivetrain repairs
- Battery and charging system testing
- Check engine light diagnosis and repair
- Tire mounting, balancing, and TPMS service
- Replace worn or damaged components
- Test drive vehicles before and after repairs
- Wash and prepare vehicles for sale when mechanical work is complete
- Keep the shop clean and organized
Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to diagnose and repair vehicles with minimal supervision
- Own basic automotive tools
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Dependable attendance
- Ability to prioritize quality work while maintaining productivity

Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
